Take advantage of the organized tours to Marseille and Provence, to visit the most beautiful touristic destinations of the South of France. Group tours  include the tour of the Capitals of the European Culture 2013 and UNESCO World Heritage sites, tasting of typical products,  entrance to museums and places to visit, overnight stay in hotel and restaurant services.

Travel Program 5 days / 4 nights

Day 1
Arrival and accommodation in hotel.
For the first contact with the city, we organized a cocktail at the famous Maison du Pastis where you can enjoy different variations of the Marseille drink par excellence, followed by a dinner in a typical restaurant. Return to hotel for the night.

Day 2: Marseille
In the morning we invite you to discover the old city, with its ancient harbour and the traditional fish market and visits to the Cathedral of Santa Maggiore and to the Vecchia Carità (Old Charity), which once was a hospital, a hospice home and a barrack, now is a scientific and museum pole.

At lunchtime you have the possibility to eat in a typical restaurant and taste the famous Buillabaisse.

In the afternoon we propose a boat ride from the ancient harbour at the discovery of the spectacular scenery of the “calanche” (gullies), from the ancient port of Marseilles up to Cassis and back.
Return to  hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Arles and le Alpilles
Transfer to ArlesUNESCO Word Heritage Site, to visit the ancient cities and the famous Roman Arenas, with the amphitheater, the ancient theatre and the Roman necropolis.

At lunchtime a visit to a wine producer with a tasting of  typical products.

In the afternoon excursion in the Alpilles, the small Provencal Alps with a visit at the monumental complex of Les Baux de Provence, with its castle and medieval village.

Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Aix-en-Provence and Avignone
In the morning, transfer to Aix-en-Provence, with a tour of the Renaissance city and visit of the studio where Cezanne worked. To conclude the visit a delicious stop at the factory of the famous Provencal  “calisson”. Free lunch.

In the afternoon, transfer to Avignone, another city part of the World Heritage of UNESCO, and a visit of the historical  center of the city with its churches and buildings, from which stand out the famous Palazzo dei Papi (The Palace of the Popes), where many Pontiffs of the XIV century where hosted, and the Sant Bénezet Bridge.

Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5
Departure

Customized Tour

The variety of the landscapes and the wealth of Provence, allow you to have customized tours. Below we suggest a few ideas to add to your trip.

  • Visit to the traditional soap factory of Marseille, where the production process is passed from generation to generation.
  • Excursion on the Cote bleu, where the famous ostriches from the mouth of the Rodano are bred, with the opportunity to visit the breeding farm and have some tastings,
  • A one day excursion with the train of the Alpilles, which starts from Arles and make stops at the Abbey of Montmajour, Les Baux and at St.Rémy, with the opportunity to visit the places beloved by Van Gogh .
  • Boat rides from the port of Marseille to the island and castle of d’If, where Alexandre Dumas imagined imprisoned the Count of Montecristo.

  • Round trip and all that is not included in “Our offer includes”. Lunches and dinners must be considered according to the daily menu or according the chef’s tasting menu. Beverages and consummations à la carte must be paid on site.
